I was looking for the simplest, smallest camera which is reliable and yet capable of taking very good (i.e. high resolution) photos. Everything else was/is a plus. Of course the price had to be reasonable. This camera fit perfectly–and has tempting great extras which I have not yet explored. Only caution: I recommend having an extra battery and remember to take it with you (I didn’t) as the 4gig memory outlasts the battery.
